2017

Feb: – Amara is placed 45th in The Sunday Times Best Small Companies to Work for List

2016

Oct: - Amara win Best Employers in the Eastern Region Award produced by eras in collaboration with Pure

Sep: - The first ever Amara Collection is launched. The own brand blends expert knowledge, detail and high quality across four different trends, Graphic, Luxe, Fantasy and Heritage

March: – The exclusive homeware collection from Amara & Mulberry Home is launched

Feb: – The very first Amara Social Committee is formed to assist with the organisation of the social side of the company from staff events to charity fundraising.

Jan: – Amara receives the Feefo Gold Trusted Merchant Award for outstanding customer services for the third year in a row

2015

Dec: The first Amara Christmas Desk Decorating Competition takes place with all teams transforming their desks into winter themed wonderlands. The competition will now join the Christmas Jumper Day as an annual Amara Christmas event.

Oct: The 2015 Amara Interior Blog Awards are held at the impressive Ham Yard Hotel Theatre & Dive Bar. With sixteen categories and over 30,000 votes cast to decide on the final shortlists, the 2015 event doubled the success of the first year making it one of the highlights of the interior blogging calendar

Oct: Amara develops personalised order inserts to send out to customers with every delivery with the help of ‘The Monster’ - the gargantuan printer now based at the warehouse

July: German site launch, Amara’s 2nd foreign language and 9th dedicated country site

June: The release of Missoni Home exclusives. The edit created by Missoni Home for Amara includes cushions, poufs and beach bags and all items are only available on the Amara site

May: Amara achieves 11th place in The Sunday Times BT Business SME Export Track 100 league table ranking Britain’s 100 private small & medium sized companies with the fasted growing international sales. Coming top in Essex, Amara’s international sales has grown by a staggering 129% over the last twenty four months and this figure continues to grow by the day

May: The whole Amara Team cycles or marshals at Pedal for the J’s, the biggest annual charity event held by The J’s Hospice. Raising over £7000 for the charity, the majority cycled either the 35 or 50 mile distances and everyone crossed the finish line!

April: Amara reaches 50 employees

Feb: Half the team makes the move over to Unit 5, our newly (and luxuriously) decorated 2nd office building

Jan: Amara achieves an annual Feefo score of 98% for customer services in 2014 and receives the Feefo Gold Trusted Merchant Award for the 2nd year in a row

2014

Dec: Number of brands in the Amara family reaches over 300 with nearly 30,000 products live on the website

Dec: Christmas Jumper Day 2014. Jumpers were even wackier than either of the previous years with Adam Boston winning the top prize for his snappy festive suit

Nov: The inaugural Amara Interior Blog Awards are held at The Rosewood London. The event which gathered the top bloggers in the industry, leading brand sponsors and the elite judging panel was a tremendous success with an even bigger awards ceremony planned for 2015

Oct: Amara staff support local charity The J’s Hospice by marshalling at the first Chelmsford Marathon, with many more fundraising activities to follow

Oct: French site launch, Amara’s first foreign language website

Oct: Countries Amara delivers to jumps from 50 to 160+

Sept: The redesign of Unit 4 finishes and work begins on Unit 5 to create even more office space to house the ever growing Amara team

Sept: Amara reaches 35 employees

Aug: Amara branches into wallpaper with the launch of an extensive collection from the industry’s top brands

Aug: The UAE website is launched

Mar: Received the Feefo Gold Trusted Merchant Award for outstanding customer service

Jan: The office goes through major reconstruction to make use of the larger space. This includes more offices, a larger photographic studio & a brand new staff room

Jan: Amara reaches 30 employees

2013

Sep: European Call Centre & Customer Services Awards Finalists

Aug: The entire Amara warehouse relocates to Delamode - a third party logistics company

Apr: Jane runs Brighton Marathon for British Liver Trust

Apr: International Website Launched. www.amara.com

Mar: Amara reaches £5,000,000 revenue milestone

Mar: Short-listed for PayPal Etail Awards

Mar: Amara reaches 25 Employees

Jan: RWD website launched

Dec: Charity Christmas jumper day

Sep: Amara Weddings Bridal List Launched

June: The boys cycle 40 miles in the Orchid Charity event
