Three of the seven chalets opened ready for the 2016/2017 winter skiing season. Through a combination of innovative design, impeccable architecture and the highest level of service, Haute Montagne’s claim that 7 Heavens will be the most elite of their kind in the Alps is more than justified. The first three lodges are called Chalet Aconcagua, Chalet Elbrus and Chalet Kilimanjaro and their opening is a key expansion for the company, whose in-house teams are renowned to never say no to any request.

From arranging feasts atop glaciers with tables carved of ice, to booking a resort’s leading ski guide or instructor to privately tutor you and your guests, no request is too much trouble for the Haute Montague team. Each chalet is equipped to sleep twelve guests in five en-suite rooms and the chalets also boast in-house spas with large indoor hot tubs, along with hammams and saunas. As no luxury residence would be without in the region of Zermatt, the individual lodges are finished with balconies offering panoramic views of the Matterhorn on the horizon.

Just 50 metres from the Sunnegga funicular, guests can be transported to the top of the mountain in minutes to make the most of Zermatt’s best ski slopes. With each of the seven chalets linked by a state of the art reception, lounge and bar area, there is also a gym filled with the latest equipment, a grand cigar lounge and a 24hr concierge surface all located in the shared space.

For each individual chalet there is a Chalet Manager to oversee every whim of its guests and a highly qualified professional chef to whip up breakfast, après-ski snacks and evening banquets. The chefs work closely with guests to create their perfect menu for the duration of each stay from seven course extravaganzas, to simple, healthy delicacies. Staying true to their mountainous roots, the chalets’ decor and infrastructures are traditionally alpine in inspiration with an indulgent update for the 21st century.

Authentic timbers and woods are harmonized with the plush furnishings and each chalet is set out over four vast floors. The top floors are home to impressive living and dining spaces with large balconies to make the most of the lofty views over the town and the iconic Matterhorn Mountain. The majestically decorated master suites (each chalet has two) can be found on the second floors each with dressing room and cavernous bathrooms. Double and twin rooms are situated on the first floors and there is also a bunk room sleeping four which is ideal for youngsters to share.
